Empowering Indigenous Women | Strengthening Our Communities
The Indigenous Women Entrepreneurship (IWE) Program supports Indigenous women in starting and growing successful businesses through funding, and training. Delivered by Ulnooweg in partnership with NACCA, this initiative is building economic independence and community resilience across Atlantic Canada.
Program Features
Business Support Officers
Get one-on-one support from a dedicated advisor who can help with business plans, financing, and navigating your journey.
Micro-loan Fund
Access up to $20,000 in financing, combining repayable loans and non-repayable grants for small or part-time businesses.
Workshops
Participate in practical, culturally relevant workshops on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and business planning.
Eligibility
You are eligible if you:
- Identify as an Indigenous woman (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis)
- Own or are starting a business that is at least 51% Indigenous woman-owned
- Operate within Ulnooweg’s service area in Atlantic Canada
